    Suzanne Crouch, Indiana State Representative, District 78, represents portions of Spencer, Vanderburgh & Warrick Counties. For the past five years, she has fought for jobs, property tax reform and holding the line on government spending. For Indiana to prosper, we must continue to grow jobs, expand property tax relief and hold the line on government spending. Suzanne provides the leadership that can make the tough decisions. Representative Crouch currently serves on the House Ways & Means Committee and the House Financial Institutions Committee. She graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University majoring in Political Science.     Sue Ellspermann

    Elect Ellspermann State Representative District 74

    Sue is the founding director of the Center for Applied Research at the University of Southern Indiana. The Center mobilizes USI faculty, staff, and students to assist regional businesses and organizations with applied research and consulting projects ranging from economic impact studies and community surveys to engineering studies and chemical testing. Sue and the Center recently received the Midwest Federal Laboratory Consortium’s Partnership Award for its development of an innovation discovery process used at NSWC Crane significantly increasing their patent production. Sue is married to Jim Mehling, assistant principal of Forest Park High School. She has two daughters, Lauren, 23, and Kara, 19, and two stepdaughters, Laura Mehling, 22, and Grace Mehling, 20. Jim and Sue reside in Ferdinand, Indiana where they are actively engaged with St. Ferdinand Parish, the Sisters of St. Benedict and Forest Park High School, their alma mater.     Ted Metzger is a self-employed small business owner. Ted was born and raised here in southern Indiana and has resided in Boonville, for the last 23 years. Ted and his wife Melissa have been happily married for 36 years and have one son. Ted is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a long time member of the American Legion Post #200. After Ted’s military duty he returned to school under the G.I. bill where he earned his Associates Degree in the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Technology. Ted worked days as a technician and nights building his own business. A commercial contract cleaning service. He has been self-employed now for thirty years. This will be Ted’s first elected office. He has no formal political experience. Yet Ted is exactly the type of individual our founding fathers intended to hold office, the average citizen. After watching the current leadership in Indianapolis present a budget that spent far more than it took in, robbed funding for the vital I-69 project from the Major Moves fund, and made Indiana less business-friendly, Ron realized it was time for a different approach in the General Assembly.
